If you haven’t been up-to-date on the Super-Bowl rumor swirl, I’ll catch you up.

A few weeks ago speculations were made and some sources even confirmed that 8 time Grammy award winner, Adele, would be performing during the halftime show at Super-Bowl LI in Houston.  Adele shut down those claims at a recent concert in L.A. saying, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no,”.

As of Sunday, August 14th, Pepsi (Who sponsors the halftime show) and the NFL released a joint statement on the matter. “The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”

Well this is awkward.

The Super Bowl takes place at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Feb. 5, 2017 and will be televised on Fox.
